REUS EXTENDS CONTRACT AT DORTMUND

Marco Reus has committed to a contract extension at Borussia Dortmund until 2019.
Reus, whose previous contract contained a release clause that could have been activated for 25 million euros this summer, had been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona



The Germany international announced theews on his official twitter account writing "Hey Folk,  am delighted to inform you that i have prolonged my contract until 2019. Marco!"



Dortmund, who had been unable to prevent key stars Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski leaving for Bayern Munich in recent years, had been expected to lose Reus after enduring a difficult campaign in the Bundesliga that has seen them struggling in the relegation zone.

IGHALO SCORES 4 GOALS AS WATFORD TRIUMPH

Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo produced a stunning performance in Watford's colour as he scored four goals as Watford hammered Blackpool 7-2 in an English Championship game on Saturday. SANCHEZ WILL STAY AT ARSENAL - MERTESACKER

Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker has said Alexis Sanchez is "definitely" staying at the club next season. Sanchez's future remains unclear as he is set to enter the last year of his contract, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reiterated on Tuesday that he will not sell the Chile international. And Mertesacker, who is retiring next season to take charge of Arsenal's academy, told Fox Sports in Australia that he is expecting to line up alongside Sanchez in his final year as a player.
