AFCON: GERVINHO GETS 2-MATCH BAN

Remember we reported earlier today that the disciplinary committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), well the decision has been made.



The attacker was sent off for kicking Guinea defender, Naby Keita in Ivory Coast's 1-1 draw in their first match in Malabo.

The ban mean Gervinho will miss the remainder of Ivory Coast's Africa Cup of Nations group matches.

The Roma striker will now miss the Elephant's next two matches against Cameroon and Mali having been shown a straight red card.

IGHALO SCORES 4 GOALS AS WATFORD TRIUMPH

SANCHEZ WILL STAY AT ARSENAL - MERTESACKER

Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker has said Alexis Sanchez is "definitely" staying at the club next season. Sanchez's future remains unclear as he is set to enter the last year of his contract, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reiterated on Tuesday that he will not sell the Chile international.
