BREAKING NEWS: WILFRED AGBONAVBARE IS DEAD

Two days after the passing away of Former Nigerian U17 coach, Musa Abdullahi, the Nigeria football family has been thrown into another mourning mood as the news just got in about the demise of former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare.


Wilfred was a first choice at Rayo Vallecano

The Ex Rayo Vallecano of Spain goalkeeper passed away after a battle with Cancer.

He was part of the Stephen Keshi captained Super Eagles team that won the African Nations Cup in Tunisia 1994 and was also part of the team to Nigeria's first ever world cup appearance in USA 1994.

 It will be recalled that he lost his wife also to cancer few years ago

IGHALO SCORES 4 GOALS AS WATFORD TRIUMPH

Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo produced a stunning performance in Watford's colour as he scored four goals as Watford hammered Blackpool 7-2 in an English Championship game on Saturday. SANCHEZ WILL STAY AT ARSENAL - MERTESACKER

Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker has said Alexis Sanchez is "definitely" staying at the club next season. Sanchez's future remains unclear as he is set to enter the last year of his contract, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reiterated on Tuesday that he will not sell the Chile international.
