NEWCASTLE APPOINTS CARVER AS HEAD COACH

Newcastle United have announced the appointment of John Carver as head coach of the club on Monday January 26th. This was due to the suprise departure of former coach, Alan Pardew Crystal Palace.

Carver will remain the head coach till June
Carver who since taking charge as an interim coach is still seeking his first win for the Magpies, is seeking ways to bring the club back to winning ways.

The 50 year old who prior to his appointment, has made it clear of his intent to serve on a parmanent basis, has said after his appointment that he is confident that he can deliver exciting successful football.

Newcastle managing director, Lee Charnley said the club had been frustrated in their efforts to appoint a permanent successor to Pardew.

“At the beginning of this process it was my desire and intention to appoint an individual to the position of head coach who would be available to start immediately.

After weighing his option, Lee Charnley has decided to defer the appointment of a permanent head coach until the end of the season, so the appointment of Carver lasts till the end of the season.

Newcastle United, currently 11th in the table and eight points above the relegation zone, are away to Hull City on Saturday in their next Premier League match.
